Sweet boat. Interesting that Shaun Murray would autograph a MasterCraft.

The owner of this boat had it at one of the Pro Tour Stops and as it was the Boarding School XStar quite a few pro riders stopped by to say hi to the new owner. A couple of non-MC riders signed it, hard to say no to a wakeboard enthusiast!

Shaun used to be associated with the boarding school.

interesting the engine was replaced - was the original a big block?

also, a indmar to ilmor conversion wiring harness exists then?

Long story on the engine swap but yes it is possible. Basically someone (not us) diagnosed this as a blown engine, we ordered a new block from ILMOR but upon inspection found it was a broken drive play which had caused the started to get stuck engaged. The boat owners expectations were a new engine and so we replaced the block, etc. rather than just repairing the drive plate/starter issue.

The new block didn't come with a wire harness but we were able to use the existing harness/ecm in the boat, aside from a couple of sensors it was pretty close to plug and play. Software calibrations were updated, new drive plate, new starter, new plug wires, etc.

Hey look at that - "Gen 1" surf tabs retro on a 2010 Xstar. Maybe whoever did this should go work for MasterCraft Engineering- I crack myself up.:D:D:D
