Sorry if this is a redundant post, as I did search for the answer prior to posting and came up empty handed....Anyhoo....I have an '84 S&S 351 1:1 Sand/Red and I am looking to do the carpet this winter...The current carpet is mostly red and have some black speckles in it....Does anyone have a match for this? I prefer to remain as close to OEM as possible... Thanks.S

X2 on Boat Carpet Central. Put their 20oz carpet in my PS200 last Spring. Good price and quality.

I have the same boat as yours. The company that made the carpet is SYNTEC in Rome, Georgia. The color is 311 Burgundy. I have the 1984 carpet sample chart in my hand as I respond to your post. I have kept up with parts for these boats since I bought mine new 30 years ago. SYNTEC discontinued these carpets many years ago. Perhaps you can call them for something comparable. The telephone numbers on this 30 year old chart are 1-800-526-8428 and 1-404-235-1158. I know how you feel if you're trying to keep it original. Mine is all original and it hasn't been easy. Good luck if you find something. Please inform us if you do. I wouldn't take for my 1984 Red and Beige.

Several on this forum including myself have used Corinthian Marine Carpets as a source with good results. However, their selection of colors in the red spectrum is very limited, as I would think most manufacturer's would be. They'll send you samples that you can at least eyeball with what you have. Also, Overtons carries several lines of carpet in various weights, including some Syntec (although no red). They'll also send you color cards that have small pieces of the whole color spectrum on them. Finding an exact match will be impossible, IMHO.
Good Luck with the restore.
