Hope someone can shed some light on this.......
On my '98 Prostar190, 5.7litre the muffler on the port side has a 45 angle going to the riser hose and it appears the the starboard is at 60 going to the riser hose. Both are measured from horizontal. Does this make sense? I would think that they ought to both be alike; thinking 45. The starboard side muffler had a leak at the exit end due to a deformed end, so I pulled both and spliced straight through pipes. Sounds great. I'm curious about the angles though.

They are the same on my '96. Could one of them have been replaced?

Yup.......the port side is new. That's the 45 one. It fits really nice though.

Mine looks like your steeper one. Here it is after I repaired the leak.

Yes, they are both the same length. Mine leaked on the other end. The round exhaust (3.5") area was deformed. So I just replaced both sides with regular PVC plumbing pipe. It doesn't get hot anyway and is working great. I love the sound I got by doing that.
Yours looks to be quite a bit steeper, unless it's just the way the picture was taken. My friend has a 205 and I believe his also is the 60 angle. everything is working fine, I was just curios as to which is the correct angle.

I would guess mine are 60 degrees from the horizontal. - '96 205

Been trying to find sites that sell them such as Discount Inboard Marine, but they just show 45 mufflers. FWIW I won't be replacing, just would like to know. Think I'll contact MasterCraft some time and ask what they think. Thanks for your interest, I really appreciate it.
