Hey everyone,

I'm doing a research paper on the history of MasterCraft. (It's a technical writing class so content/sources aren't as important, thus choosing MC for fun). My research indicates that MasterCraft had 25 different models (not running surfaces) in 2009. Does anyone have evidence that says otherwise? Kinda crazy to think about, but here is what I have for 2009 models:

ProStar:
190
197
214
214v

X-Series:
X-1
X-2
X-7
X-14
X-14v
X-15
X-30
X-35
X-45
X-55
X-80
X-Star

MariStar:
200
215
230
235
245
255
280

CSX:
220
265

Was this the year with the most models offered by MC?

Not sure when the 300 was released. May be able to add one.

Good call on the 300. First year was 2009.

The 300 came out in 2010. 2008 & 2009 had the same roster & qty of boats.
They didn't simplify until '12 when they dropped Maristar ('11 it still around but called the V line).

I didn't follow the CSX line perfectly. Maybe someone from the east coast has the details. Was the CSX 265 only alive for '08 & '10? This vs the 220 that ran from '06-'11?

Good catch on the 2009 launch for the 300. I forgot they took the 1 boat on a dog & pony show that year. Looks like they did ship a few that year too. My bad.

Good correction. I was on the touring 300 in august '09 and at that time they had already shipped at least 2 or 3.

If I count correctly, they only have 6 of these models still in production with an unchanged hull design.

That's what my count was too. Big change over.

Hard to believe that the "new" X2 is the old dog in the lineup. Total overhaul and major improvements to the lineup.

No doubt about that.

Does the 2009 list translate to 14 running surfaces?

Yes, but...

That looks like the most hull molds ever, but I wonder if they now have even more with a batch of hulls with the option for tracking fins which mods the running surface a little bit. Does anyone know if they're running separate molds for fins/no fins or is there simply a removable plug to create the flat fin mounting section?

Yes if you are including the 300
