No offense meant to the original poster, but are these the same as the ones Greatlakesskipper is selling?

yes this is funny that they are selling shipping covers that other people have already paid for. Especially at that price.

The dealership paid for the covers. They are not free and it cost money to inventory, stock, package and offer this accessory.

Customers have expressed interest in purchasing the covers over the years so we wanted to make sure that people that may want such an accessory have a source for acquiring them.

We are dealing on select covers

swim platform needs to be removed?

CLTMC
12-02-2013, 08:05 PM
In most cases the platform can stay on the boat while the boat is covered with this type of heavy duty storage cover, the platform will not be covered but the boat will be very well protected.

The ones I saw recently have web straps that go under the hull to secure and a ratchet band around rub rail just like other covers. They also have vents in them and cover the entire boat including the tower. This is a material similar to Tyvek with a soft cotton lining on the inside. Would be great for long road trips or winter storage.

These covers will handle heavy rain conditions, the purpose of these covers is long term storage, long distance shipping or towing, the cover is very durable, heavy duty poly-pro exterior, felt inside lining, ratcheting belly strap, lotís of coverage.

This is a great way to protect your MasterCraft Boat from harmful environmental elements.

Do you have one for an X-2 and would it fit with the tower collapsed? It's a 2008 model.

So your telling me that on every boat your dealership eats the cost of the covers. That is not part of the deal or in freight and prep? I sold boats for 4 years and the covers were in the price of the boat somewhere. If you are eating the cost you are throwing money down the drain on the covers and man hours/shop storage for all of them.

Bryan, Lee is an outstanding and upstanding individual. I know him well from 3 boat purchases. Why are you questioning his business practices? Do you think he is screwing his customers? If you need to confront him do it via pm. Unwarranted challenges like this is what keeps the dealers from participating more here. If the covers should be included in the purchase then all the people interested in purchasing these covers should be running back to their local dealers requesting the covers that they have apparently been shorted on initial purchase instead of dropping their money on these covers. I'm reasonably sure the covers are not included in the cost of the boat because dealers have the option of making their own shipping arrangements from the factory and may make arrangements for enclosed transportation etc.

when I bought my boat new in 2010, the price breakdown sheet said nothing about these delivery covers. so are you saying the dealer should give these away for free??? lol. agree with john. take this attack off the public forum and do it over pms. as far as I'm concerned this dealer is helping us out!

Put one on our 2013 X30 yesterday. Nice quality and very secure. Was not sure about a pocket on the top. Is it for the tower light?

How do you think these would hold up to snow and snow load for winter storage outdoors?

Would this be better than shrink wrap? long as it lasts a couple winters the cost savings would be huge!

I've got one for a 2012 x-2 I'd be willing to part with. I put it over my normal cover to keep it clean in the shed for the winter. We are building a new house this summer with a big garage, do I won't need to store in a shed anymore.
