I just joined TeamTalk and bought this 1988 MasterCraft Tristar 190. Hoping to fix it it up and teach my kids to ski this summer...2014 seems so far away. There was a thread in the For Sale section about this boat and I was the one who put the deposit and bought it. I'm sure I will have many questions and have already learned a lot from Team Talk.

Welcome. I had the same boat for a short while. Yes it is going to be a long winter.

Congratulations on the boat, the kids are going to love it. By the time summer swings around you will have ready to go no doubt.

I have an identical white/dark blue stripe '88 Tristar Sport 190 (closed bow). Same SMP dual axle trailer. Had it since '98. Always good to get an unmolested boat to work on, no previous owner (PO) surprises. Heck, it doesn't look look like anything was ever done to it.;)

Welcome to Teamtalk and let the work begin (pictures please).

I'm excited for sure to drive it. The back seat cushion needs to be recovered since it is totally shot. The exterior needs a good cleaning and polishing since there is a lot of mineral scale built up on it. After reading a lot of the great reviews I would like to talk to Viper Customs about refinishing the interior. The possibilities are endless and there is a lot of dreaming about what to do since winter is here and no boating in sight for 6 months.

Welcome. I'm a FNG too and this place has been great so far. Nice boat.
