What's this boat worth, including the boat mate trailer? Thx

2003 Mastercraft ProStar 197 inboard Tournament ski boat with trailer. Well maintained and sharp looking, this top-of-the-line boat runs like new, and has the desirable open-bow design that seats up to 8 adults comfortably. 5.7 Liter 350 H.P. fuel injected MCX V-8 engine with only 408hrs. Factory Zero-Flex wakeboard tower with board racks and bimini top. Clarion stereo/CD w/ drivers remote control, Perfect-Pass speed control, heater, depth finder, tilt-wheel, removable teak swim platform and factory mooring cover. Red/white/black exterior w/off-white/tan interior. 2006 Boatmate trailer with fold-away tongue, disc brakes, LED light and custom chrome wheels. Boat runs excellent and everything works.

Not sure what it's worth, but that trailer sure doesn't fit very well....

Looks great, but I agree on the trailer. Not resting on front bunks. In the back , the bunks should be JUST outboard of the step in the hull. That looks pretty scary to me.

I agree, not impressed with the trailer. 3event, what's your 197 worth?

My brother just missed out on a '04 TT with the same engine and correct trailer for 21.5k. He would have paid asking price on it.

With that misfit trailer I would say the price in his ad is very fair and anything less would be a good deal for the buyer. All dependent on in person condition and test drive, of course. Pictures look good though.

Yes I saw the ad. No I won't post it because I assume there is a reason you did not.

Mine does not have tower and is the 2002 hull (before the "hook" added at transom). I see boats from the 90's in the mid teens so I would think somewhere around 20, but that's a guess as I have no real interest in valuing it right now: it's worth more to me than anyone would be willing to pay.

Trailer a red flag. I am guessing some time in brackish/salt water.

Thanks JK13, I agree the price seems fair, but I haven't seen it in person. Was just trying to gage value before I made the drive. I don't like the trailer but at the right price it could be worth the sacrifice. I appreciate you not exposing the location. I've been looking for a boat for a while.

curious as to why you think brackish/salt water? as far as the pics of the boat and hull, tracking fins and so forth I don't see any evidence.

I was thinking it was probably someone who kept the boat on a lift year round so maybe didn't order with a trailer and picked one up somewhere.

nice looking 197btw!

Boat like that, in very good condition, with MC trailer should go for mid to high $20s. The decals on the windshield indicate this boat was from the Orlando area at one time (P for Performance Ski and Surf and "Team Liquid" for Liquid Sports Marine). Not uncommon for Orlando boats to be ordered without trailers.

Original owner, all records, low hours, solid tower, perfect pass, discount the trailer, I would estimate $22-$25k. Ripped seats, stained seats (common in that year), multiple owners, stored outside, gelcoat fading, estimate high teens to low $20s.

Deals that are too good to be true usually are. Now is a good time to buy a boat though.

8 adults will never fit comfortably in that boat. Bow is for kids...6 adults may fit...with little gear.

This is my 06 I just traded. IT IS MINT!!

If your budget allows you should really consider it if it is still available.

If interested let me know and I will give you contact info for dealer. I can also tell you everything about the boat. You will not find one nicer.

Good Luck

My budget is $20,000 or less. That's a beautiful boat but well above my budget.
Thanks
