I'm in Knoxville, Tn and the boat is at my dealer right now for winterization. Very easy access right of I40. Let me know if I can answer any questions 865-235-8166.

Well, it's a long story, we sold our new X45 and our house this spring so we could hunt for something on the lake. We got the X14V to hold us over another season since we tow it to the lake and would have to tow farther when our house sold. We wanted smaller and easier to tow but still wanted a MasterCraft while we hunt for a place. I'm hoping to find a place this winter so I'm selling to free up time and $ to build or buy winter or spring time. It's been a great boat even with down sizing from a boat that seated 18 to 11. it's very fun to drive and if your moving from a stern drive, this boat is very easy to manuver and put where you want it. We were never skiers and I have'nt skied in 15 years but we ended up skiing pretty often in the 14.

That's a beautiful boat at a great price. I had a chance to play with one last year. I wasn't sold on the V-drive, but man, that offers a heck of a lot more room than a DD!

Looks like it has the RTP-1 in it.

Great motor.

Compared to MCX? No way I'd have wanted that in my X14DD.

Aric'sX15

Theyre pretty much the same motor

MASTIQUE
11-08-2013, 06:07 PM
I could not tell the difference in running the MCX and the RTP-1 on the X14v. Hole-shot for me was exactly the same. Not to start a MCX and RTP-1 war. We don't need that again :D

Theyre pretty much the same motor

That's hard to believe. There's a reason they offered both of them at the same tine, and one cost more than the other...

Platform oiled and exhaust tips polished. Also, with the sale goes three new oil filters (the good ones) two extra new impellers, the slalom rack extenders, all owners manuals, and extra ballast pump spare.

I'm surprised your boat hasn't sold yet...

Let me rephrase that…

…If I didn't have a 3rd child due in like a day and buy a bigger vehicle to accommodate a growing family, I'd be all over that. Because, God knows, the '83 S&S isn't going to be big enough to hold everyone...

MASTIQUE

This is what I found......The standard, torque-filled RTP-1 is a multiport-injected, 5.7L 310-horsepower, GM Vortec V8 that utilizes the 12th-generation Delphi Electronic Control Module (ECM) software custom calibrated to give you perfect power placement.

Also from an old TT post:
The torque curves for both the MCX and RTP are almost identical (with the MCX being ever so slightly above the RTP) all the way through the range until you hit around 5000 rpm and then the MCX pulls away hard. The only noticeable difference will be in the high RPM range. Same platform engine and the MCX sucks in more air at the higher RPM's due to the really cool plenum it has so it gives it the 30 more HP. It is only felt at the higher RPM's. I asked Indmar this exact question and this is what they told me and sent me the dyno tests to prove it.

SOLD... I'm the new proud owner of this boat - my first MC and I couldn't be happier! Guessing MASTIQUE hasn't been on the forum in the last couple of weeks to update this tread so I figured I'd at least let y'all know and say a big THANK YOU to all TeamTalk members! I've learned a lot from this site and I'm very happy to be part of the MC family!
