My kids were asking what the name of our new boat should be?
I said, I don't think people name these boats,,,, ?
They said
"Well, what do they say when you drive by with no name on it?"
I say
" they'll say "look at that Bad *** MasterCraft""

You sir, are 100% right. It already has a name on it. MasterCraft.

Mine says it in big letters on the side.

We named our X45 "knotty Smooches 2.O" Soon to replaced with 3.0.

I don't understand people not naming their boat. If it makes the kids happy go for it.

Mine is affectionately known as "Yeah Bouy!" Although it's not tagged on there anywhere, it's just what we refer to it as in conversation.

....I followed that up with
"We could also call it the " Kid Master""
Only the little one liked that comment.... :)

The boat isn't tagged but if someone asks we refer to ours as Drug Money. My wife is a Pharmacist. :D

Our's is nicknamed "Ginger" because she is red and beautiful. I thought about getting "we've got options" lettered on the back because I paid for her with stock options. :D

We've also seen "Sotally Tober" on 2 boats..

My wife calls ours "The Other Woman" because she says I spend as much time with it as I do her. Not true. Close but not equal.

I agree in a sense I'm not going to put a name on the boat anywhere. But my cousin who had skied all his life, but never rode behind a real boat (inboard) was asked what he thought after is first ride...... He replied out of breath with a BIG smile from ear to ear..... "That Mastercraft is NO JOKE!" We coined the boat "No Joke".

My wife does the same, for the same reason. She's even given "the other woman" a name. LaFonda. She regularly threatens to get some decal letters and make it official. I'm in the no name camp. Otherwise, I'd probably let her do it just for kicks. I'm sure she'd even spell it LUH-FAWN-DUH a la "Napolean Dynamite".

Ours came with a name across the back that calls it correctly..."Competition Ski Boat". No need to "splain" that to anybody.

We call the pontoon "the pontoon". But we call the ski boat "The MasterCraft".

I've owned 8 MasterCraft boats, never named any of them...other than MasterCraft. That's always seemed to be enough. I have however given a couple of my trucks names, none that I can repeat here. :D

Had to give ours a name - Calypso. I'm proud of being a Mastercraft owner, but like to make some things unique.

If you and your kids get a kick out of having a name on your boat then do it. For me, the boat is all about having fun with the family.

I think there's a big difference between naming your boat and actually putting the name on the boat. Nothing wring with naming it. I personally think it looks weird when the name is on the boat.

our boats were always named ( "Yellow Peril 2" (YP1 was a kitcar), "current affair" and "dunk'n'disorderly" ) until we got our 1st MC, then no names since... didn't feel it was right

We've always named our boats in the past but this is our first ski boat. Our last boat was a 32ft Party Cruiser pontoon named "Show me your Bouys". Not sure if we'll put a name on the back of this one, there's just not a lot of room. I am having a custom swimpad made though, from SeaDec, it'll have the "Naked feet Only" logo in it. We may just call it that.

Had a friend of a friend out on my first boat several years ago and was teaching him how to wakeboard. He kept on getting really close and every time we circled around, he said "one more time!" He probably told us "one more time" six or seven times. It was then that the first boat was coined "One More Time." We are now on Boat #3 so this one is "One More Time III." However, it'll never be emblazoned on the hull, just known in our hearts.

We have 2 boats. One is called "the ski boat" and the other one is called "the skiff." No decals.

I once had an old twin engine 28' Formula that I always called the "Big Mistake." I would have put that name on the transom, but I wanted to be able to sell it later. That boat was a money pit.

I am in the camp that boats under 25' should not have names on them. Now according to my 8 yr. old and Wife, ours is named The Super Special Princess Boat. Namely because my 8 yr. old and wife are my princesses, and they accuse me of taking care of the boat more than them. Also when my daughter was younger, everything was "Super Special Princess" :D
