I just bought a 1997 Prostar. The decals say Electronic fuel injection but mine has a throttle body. I'm assuming it had an engine swap bit I don't know enough about these things to know for sure.
Anyone know better than I?

I don't believe that you had an engine swap. The fuel in TBI engines is injected electronically, it just isn't multi-port fuel injection. Not sure what the horsepower is on the 97's but that is a small block chevy 350, which was an engine that was used back then.

Yep, TBI (Throttle Body Injection) is an electronic fuel injection, just has 2 fuel injectors instead of 8 which would be a multiport setup.

I have the same engine in my 97 205. It is the year just before the vortex heads came out. It is rated at 275 hp. If you look Down the drivers side of the motor their is a sticker which looks like a barcode which states the horse power of the engine.
