My 2010 x15 w/MXC, 900hrs. All of the sudden one day it started running cool, 120 degrees (normally 165). I replaced the thermostat, (and the impeller while I was at it) now it is running at 95/100. And it IS running cool, and rich. I smell the fuel in the exhaust and the entire engine is cool to the touch. How is this possible? I'm going to try a new thermostat. But Is it possible that the sensor is bad?(doesn't seem likely to read cool if malfunctioning) And are there one or two sensors? Are both my digital and analog gauges running off one sensor? Both gauges read the same.
Any ideas?

A cold running engine will have a rich fuel mixture. 2 engine coolant temperature sensors, one is for the ecm and the other us for your gauges. As far as the engine actually running cold maybe you got a bad replacement thermostat, idk.
