I'm tearing my boat down this winter. I really don't like the frame silver color. I would like to powder coat if possible but worried glass might not fit right. Is paint a better idea? Going to tint glass wihle I have it out also.

That picture sold me. I have been tossing around this idea in my head for a while.

I'm gonna do it this winter. Tint and powder coat. Now only question is .. what color to do the frame. :D

Thinking about hydro dipping my frame carbofiber as well. Then tinting it.

That could be cool. I'm trying to decide on my frame. Since my boat is white mainly and then has a blue and silver stripe on the side.

Would blue look stupid? White is prob my obvious choice. Black I think would stand out too much.

I think any color other than silver or black will stand out like a sore thumb. Would love to see a tasteful example of it to change my mind...

Did you have the powder shop tape off area where glass fits? Any issues with it fitting after powder?

Are these windsheilds pretty straight forward to take off?

Before

No they didn't mask off areas. Removing from the boat is easy. Taking it apart was a pain, they silicone the glass into the frame. On reassembly the glass fit fine, use a spray bottle of soapy water and spray the crap out of the rubber before assembling so you can move it into place better. Also a soft rubber mallet. The hardest part was getting the dowel into the hinge. Lots of lithium grease or any lube helps. In hindsight a tiny round file may have helped. Also drilling out the rivets proved a little challenging.

All worth it in the end.

I really like the mods. It makes the look of the boat stand up.

I think powder coating the tower black too would really change the look of the boat.
