Anyone out there on an HO S2 slalom in a course, if so how do you like it and what size are you on? I would like to try one when time permits me getting back on the water as they are getting good reviews but I am uncertain as to what size to try, the 67.5 seems a bit too big in this ski (I am on a 67 Monza now)? How big of a difference would it make if I went to a 66.5 ?

I am about 5'11", 180-185lbs.

I demo'd one last year and it was a 66.5. I'm also about your same size 5'11" 185-190.

I'm no pro but I did feel just a little more confident, and particularly my off side, for turning. This was in comparison to my 66.5 Goode 9700 ski. I felt more solid and confident on the S2. No course to try so can't comment there for you......

I am 5'11.5" and 185 - 67 blacktop monza... if i was going to the S2 i'd go 66.5.

i have not skied on one however.

Thanks for the feedback. I have inquired about a few that are listed on ski-it-again.com so I think as soon as I get a good price I am gonna give a 66.5 a shot. I will report back after I have had a chance to try it.

GO to Ball of Spray and look at their comments in that forum. I too am leaning toward and S2 or S3 but wondering if they are going to release a new one this year as there are no changes to the latest model.

FWIW, I prefer the A2 over the S2 (I ski 34). The S2 felt like it dove too hard on my offside, and the A2 felt more balanced on each side and faster. I would say 66.5 as well, especially as a northern skier with lower water temps on average than the south.

I had heard lots of good talk about them also, so I demo'd one at the end of the season last year but didnt care for it. I really wanted to like it, but I cant seem to get a good feel for the HO brand ski's.

You are not alone!! I have tried every HO syndicate ski, and haven't found any of them consistent (except maybe the A2). IMO Radar and D3 are much more user friendly.
