I have an x15. There r a few scratches in the clear coat. A couple on the sides and two bad ones on the bottom. Wondering if anyone knows how, or even if they can b removed? Can a detail shop or autobody shop fix this? Or am I stuck with the scratches?

I don't think there is a "clear coat". The scratches are most likely in the gel coat and the good news is that these can usually be wet sanded and buffed out.

When you say clear coat, does that mean that you have metal flake under the clear? If so, you can try a scratch filler that is clear. Depending on how deep they are, that could work. If they are too deep and into the metal flake, do not sand it or it will blur the metal flake finish.

If it is not metal flake, it will not have any kind of clear coat. Gel Coat is different from paint in that way and goes on much thicker that paint and is therefore more forgiving when it comes to repair. The deeper scratches on the bottom, you should definitely not have metal flake there, so I would go to Spectrum and get the matching color patch paste repair kit and fix it that way. They also make a gel coat without the paste material in it, but you would need to but a disposable sprayer in that case. The paste is fairly simple but does require the proper prep work. Just call MC and give them your hull ID and they should be able to tell you what the correct color is for matching and you can go order a small kit. They have it listed by color and years. The example below is just that, as I do not know what color your hull is. Good luck.
