The PCM Manuals are for the newer engines, so that is no help for our older boats. I do have a copy of the 82 PCM service manual, I don't believe it changed much up to 87 when MC went to Indmar.

It would be handy for having torque specifications at your finger tips. I wish they would have released it a month ago as this weekend I am tearing appart the top end of my 2003 MCX to try and get some more ponies out of it. I am installing a set of 1.6 ratio roller rockers and putting the ETX exhaust risers on it. Thankfully I have a friend who works as an engine mechanic for a living so he will be helping do the work this weekend.

Definetly planned on it. I don't know that I will be able to get a lake test for a few weeks yet. I am getting my ETX aluminum exhaust manifolds polished so that will delay getting it in the water.

Sure wish they would break these down into shorter spans. Twenty years is a long time, and there are a lot of changes during that time. Once they have a file created, it should be pretty easy for them to pull out all the common sections and then separate the 1983-1993, and the 1994-2003 sections and create two separate books. The 1983-2003 version is great for a mechanic who works on all of these, but for those of us who only have one model to worry about, it's tough thumbing through all those extra pages to find the 1994 GM 5.7 TBI reference. Maybe these would cost less too.

I have a similar complaint about all the User's Manuals for everything that have 6-8 different languages included. Why can't they just separate these into 6-8 different manuals and then I could throw away the ones I don't need?
