Recently found myself needing some new platform brackets for my '92 Prostar. I contacted Mike at Alloy Marine 530-247-7530 for assistance with ordering some new ones, very helpful and friendly person to deal with. He suggested some TP03 transom plates with 15"/102 degree rise/0 degree swing brackets. Parts were in stock and shipped the same day.

I needed to drill the mounting holes and trim the sides of the transom plates to fit the recessed pockets in the hull. I also had to make sure the plates were parallel so the brackets would not bind when lifting the platform off. Took a bit of time to get it right but worth the effort. I also added some cable wire to keep the pins tethered to the boat. The 102 degree rise brackets put the platform level when in the water just like the factory parts. The plates are CNC'ed from 6061 T6 and anodized black. Overall very happy with them and would recommend them to other TeamTalkers needing some new brackets.

They were right at $250 shipped.

No slop at all. They fit very tight due to being machined. There is an o-ring that sits inside the bracket that keeps the up and down movement to a minimum.

Wow that is not bad at all. I might have to order me a set of these this winter?

Good to see that Alloy Marine is still in business. Got removable platform brackets from them for my '89 about 15 years ago, and they are holding up great. They are faded to mostly plain aluminum now, someday I'll re-coat them when I get ambitious. Those new one sure look purdy!

I have the same brackets on our 83' S&S. They fit very tight, no wobble or slop and they do not rattle at all. VERY solid product! When you take the board off and replace it, you have to align it almost perfect for it to slip back on.

The rest of his boat is posted in another thread...

What is impressive is his engine. Ski/Hunt and I met up with SeaCup a short while back out on the lake and he got to talking about his refurbishment... He lifted the engine cover and there it was (don't look Ethel).... the nicest looking Ford engine I have seen in a long time. He commenced to itemizing how the engine had been rebuilt, from the crank out....cam / pistons / MSD electronic ignition / intake manifold /etc....All SeaCup needs now is a PerfectPass to top off a nice clean engine...
