106 hours
Rack stored since new
Port and starboard ballast & bag in ski locker
Perfect pass
Bimini
Cover
Dual axel trailer
Three boards and some extras

Interior is in great shape, just needs a little cleaning.

At first I wasn't sure if this was a Prostar (Capacities label indicates prostar 197) or an X series (X series graphic on the side). Deler indicated it is a Prostar 205 VRS.

Seller is asking $31,000

That is a 2003 X-2. Capacity plate should say 205v. The graphics on the early 2003 ones said "X series" on the side instead of X-2. Hours are low, but $31k is too much. $27k-$28k is pretty fair. Any lower would be a good deal.

I would be sure to thoroughly check it out mechanically. 10 hours a year is pretty low, so I would imagine it spent several years unused.

Thanks JRW160. I have continued research after the original post and was just coming to the conclusion that is it an X2. General specs for the Prostar 205V and X2 on NADA are the same.

I see you have an '03 X2. I have a 6 and 8 year old and am concerned that the wake may be too big for them at thier ski speeds. Any thoughts? How is it for an adult at ~30? Are you able to get a surf wake?

I don't ski, so I can't really comment on the ski wake firsthand. I think the general consensus is that it is fair, but not great. The wakeboard wake is great. The surf wake is surfable, but it isn't the best. The surf wave is fairly steep and the pocket is pretty short.

This thread discusses the ski wake.

I just sold my 03 x2. Same boat different graphics. Ski wake is great behind this boat especially for vdrive. I was told when I bought it that it was the only vdrive awsa certified at the time. Wake for kids depends on speed. Wake rampy so not really hard to cross unless speed is less than around 16 when it kinda whitewashes. Here is link to mine I just sold. I got nearly asking price. My exterior was nearly flawless but seats were starting to split at the seams.

My boat had 552 hours on it and never had to do anything to it except change fluids impeller and winterize. Mine had the predator engine 310 hp.

Thanks Mark. The link in your first post isn't working, can you re-post? What was your asking price?

I can't seem to find any good info online, but I don't think the 205v/x-star/x-2/x-1 was ever awsa certified. I think the hull may have been in dd configuration, but not in v-drive. A friend of mine lives in a neighborhood with a private lake that requires an awsa certified boat. He said his only choices in v-drive were a 2007(?) malibu vtx with the diamond hull or a cc sv211 around the same vintage.

Here's the link to the history of approved towboats. The 205 was certified in the direct drive configuration, but by model number it does not appear to have been certified as a V-Drive.

I'm sure you all are correct. I was going on something I thought I heard ten years ago. But for a v drive the wake is very good.
