13x13 OJ prop that has seen better days... but only $50. I keep thinking I am going to need a spare someday for my 2002 x-star. Is this inexpensive prop an adequate spare? Should I pony up and buy a new prop in a size and pitch I want and use my current as a spare? (would not mind adding a few MPH to the top end for my eventual trip to powell - currently running a 4 blade, not sure on size/pitch, it tops out at 39/40 mph)

Hoping your thoughts will inspire me on this subject. (I'm admittedly new on the subject of props)

Propeller - OJ Legend 13 x 13 - $50 (concord / pleasant hill / martinez)

Prop from a 1994 Mastercraft 205. OJ Legend 3-blade 13 x 13 with keyed shaft. Bore measures 0.810" but I assume that is considered a 1" shaft in the literature. Runs well despite a few nicks from Delta rocks.

EMail if interested. John

Nothing wrong with that prop that can't be fixed. $50 + ~$125 to get it repaired and balanced. Done deal. Would make a great primary prop.

I assumed so - If I am running 14.25 x 14.5 four blade what kind of performance difference would I be seeing?

The 13-13 will give you a harder pull out of the hole. Top end may drop off 1-2 but who cares unless you're a Texas drag boat racer. Make sure the 13-13 will fit your shaft. That looks to be fit a keyed 1" diameter tapered shaft.

Those dings are minimal damage....however they need to be repaired before using (obviously).

Swap them back and forth for testing to see what you like. You did say 'spare'.

My 209 runs that prop your boat should be fine as a spare. I'd snatch it up

never heard of anyone running a 3 blade on a wakeboard boat.

I don't think that prop will fit. Isn't your shaft splined? My 2003 uses a splined prop, I think the keyed ones are for older boats.
