I have the exact same boat/transmission with OJ Legend 3 blade 14/18 prop.... burns 3.0~3.5 gallons per hour if that helps any. Skiing, boarding, pulling tube and just running around the lake with 6 people on board. So, yeah I would burn about 24 gallons in 6-8 hours.

How much run time and what kind of rpm? I've noticed mine (90 ps190 p.s. and 4 blade) does much better on fuel at wakeboarding speed than it does at 3000 rpm plus. You have to remember these boats only hold like 20 gallons of fuel. I've ran at 2400rpm for about 5 hours of run time and not burnt over half a tank of fuel. But if I take a trip somewhere where I'm turning 3500 + it will burn about 1/4 tank an hour

Yea. Details about what kind of use will help determine how normal.

Spec lists tank capacity at approx. 25 gallons.
My tach doesn't work, so I've always measure the hours and recorded the amount of fuel used when refueling. Also use 91-93 octane.

Gas gauge bounces alot so it is hard to tell when it's empty. I don't think there any way I could run 5 hrs at any speed on a tank of gas. Today ran about 2.5 hrs and its bouncing on empty. When I fill it back up I will be able to tell exactly what I burned. Normal use is wakeboard with 5 people at 23 mph. Any suggestions on a new gas gauge?

Are you smelling raw fuel or seeing lots of exhaust soot on transom?
My boat burns 2-3.5 gph just general watersports/cruising, if tubing gph goes to about 5-6 gph.

Probably the fuel level sender and not the gauge.

Yes I do smell fuel pretty strong. Haven't noticed any soot on transom.

I would Tune the carburetor with a vacuum gauge and recheck your findings.
