If you were looking at these 2 boats and you primarily surfed, which one would you go for? I really like the X30 and every time I go and look at boats I end up back in that boat. It's just a comfortable boat to be in. I know there are tons of differences between these boats, but either one would have the 6.2 in it. Thanks for the advice.

I'm biased but this is easy: X-30.

The 30 is rated for more people, has more cubic feet of storage and will likely be half the price of a 46. It will surf just as good as the 46 with less weight.

Im struggling between these two boats myself. Should be going on a 46 soon to try it. I dont ever see 30s out on chickamauga but our dealers dock is an 1/8 mile from us. They have an x10 right now though. May try it too for ****s n giggles but i bet our sac'd 15 throws more wake.

I skipped the x10 because its a $5K jump to the X30, at the prices of these boats there didn't seem to be any advantage going with the smaller boat unless I was limited on storage space. Fortunately I don't have to worry about that.

Think you're a little off with that guess...

I'm sure price varies region to region but it can't be that close. Unless you're dead set on a '14 X-30, you could pick up a '13 for $70-85k. Compare that to the price I rec'd on a 46 which was in the ballpark of $120-130k.

2014 X30, pro package, zft4, 6.2, etc. $100-$105

2014 X46 with all the same stuff $115-$120

I'm talking boats with the exact same options on them

Still not half the cost...

There is an x46 on boat trader listed for 157K.

I think I'm leaning towards the X46, just need to be able to see one in person. I like it more every time I look at the one I have built on the website.

Anybody know what the high power stereo option includes? Just trying to figure out the difference between it and just getting the amp and sub package. The amps will come out as soon as I get the boat home anyway for some upgrades, just would rather have all the wiring in place than have to fish wires through the boat.

Thanks for all the help.

I don't really see how 30 vs 46 is a comparison. The 46 is two feet longer. Has a pickle fork. Different seating, more expensive. A good comparison would be 30 vs 10, a lot more similar than that and the 46

I was told that the HP stereo has two amps that are upgraded from the standard amp. One to drive cabin speakers and the other drives tower speakers.

Is the Fusion stereo now the standard for 2014 or is that part of the upgraded stereo? The stereo and control that it over different zones and things is is pretty slick.

I believe it is.

fusion is standard.....optional stern remote only controls tower speakers and bow remote only controls bow speakers. From what I've heard the standard remote at the helm only controls the main "cabin" speakers, but I haven't verified that for myself.

X10 is too small for me, that's the reason I don't own a grey X15 right now as well, went and looked at a 215V and my wife didn't like it. We don't really have a preference on pickle vs traditional bow as long as my wife can stretch out in it she doesn't care. The X10, X25, X35 bow is too short for her and the X46 seems to have a similar bow to the new Xstar and old X45 which allows her to stretch out.

That's why the X30 vs X46. Not to mention there's only a $5000 difference between the X10 and X30, so that's kind of a no brainer for me since I'm not concerned about length for storage space. As long as I'm under 30' total length I'm good to go. Also the X46 is 1'2" longer than the X30, so they are pretty similarly sized boats in that regard in my mind.

the dic controls the stereo in zones also. once you set your levels the remotes adjust all the zones from the set level. on the premium stereo at least

Wish you woulda picked up my boat. Some dude in Louisiana is off trashing it.

Yikes. I really wanted it, but like I said my wife thought the bow was too small and who am I to tell her "no we can't buy a new boat"?
