I need to order the purple color gelcoat for a 1997 190. Its only available in gallons at $200+ so I'd like to get it right the first time. From what I can tell, Spectrum lists the following colors of purple for 1997. Does anybody know which one it is?

1997 DK Violet 3972 862337 952-PA-112

1996-1997 Royal Purple 3941 862276 952-LA-351

What do you need it for? If it is for small patches, wouldn't the Spectrum color match kit make more sense? I was able to perfectly match my Dresden Blue Nautique with it.

Did you just buy that boat?

Jeff, Spectrum doesn't stock the color and won't mix less than gallon.

Demo, its a buddy's boat, and he has owned it for a while.

The only way to make sure (other than trial and error) is to call mastercraft with the hull VIN, and they will tell you the Spectrum color codes. Make sure you get the whole VIN including the 2 leters after the VIN if your model has them.

Sorry, I meant the Evercoat color matching that you mix yourself. If it is just small areas, this should be adequate.
