I started an adaptive water ski school this year on Lake Wisconsin called Colsac Skiers. We use a 1985 S&S. This summer it has pulled over 40 different people all together and over 20 with disabilities, 9 Wounded Warriors. Lots of pictures on Face Book Colsac Skiers group and a few on our website colsacskiers.com
Skiing on two skis as a side skier for someone who spends most of their time in a wheelchair is the most rewarding thing I have ever done.

Seth lost his arm in a corn auger when he was 4 years old. This is his first time ever water skiing.

Dan was hit by the second largest ever road side bomb in Afghanistan. He said he was lucky to be in one of the new Hum-Vees with the v-bottom armor plating to deflect the blast.

Logan, you think he even ever thought of water skiing before, let alone, where the hell is the new Prostar 197?

Great work tlukens. Can you tell us what you had to do to set the school up? IE, finding the location, permits, and insurance?
And what do you do in the offseason?

A tree fell on Laura while she was weeding her garden. Never water skied before her accident. Oh, and when it fell it took the power lines down with it and electrocuted her. 23 titanium ribs on her left side, 13 on her right, severed spinal cord. Her kids are 6 and 7 years old. "I'm so lucky to be alive." She told me.

I am a pilot, when I'm not working this is what I like to do. I have a small house on Lake Wisconsin near Merrimac. I formed a corporation, set up a 501c3, got a ton of insurance and pull people with disabilities like they are anyone else taking their turn trying to improve their skills.

Bob lost his mobility 8 years ago because of Multiple Sclerosis and hasn't water skied since until today. Another star on the old S&S.

Fantastic!

We host an adaptive clinic at our site each year and I love working the event. It's very rewarding! I highly recommend that if any of you have the opportunity to volunteer to assist in an adaptive clinic, it's the least you can do to give back to the sport you love.

Look at that determination. I suspect she achieves many of the things she sets out to accomplish.

I think so! It would be a GREAT thing to do, a tax write-off, and GREAT PR for MasterCraft!

It's a win-win situation for MasterCraft and a drop in the bucket for them.....

Agreed...a 214V with a tower would be a great boat to donate to the cause.

What an amazing unselfish act! You and your crew are wonderful caring people. We need more people like you in this world. I had "one of those days" today at work and I was pretty grumpy all day. UNTIL I read this thread......Thanks so much for putting life in perspective.

We got a more high performance ski for Sarah to try out. Sarah has only been water skiing for a month now and has already done an adaptive demo at Tommy Bartlett's water ski show and will be skiing Sunday night with the Mad City ski team in Madison, WI.

Our new boat showed up today. Its first pull is tomorrow, a fundraiser for MS. Pulling skiers in the icy waters of the Rock River. Redline Watersports in Madison, WI helped us out on this a ton on the boat.
