When towing your boat with a 6L Ford diesel what is the RPM that you don't like to go over? I'm wondering if you're pulling a hill would you be concerned at 3000rpm.

I've x45 and 6.0. If you spend time on the diesel forums the over consensus is that the 6.0 likes to be run hard and keeps the egr valve cleaner longer. Foot to the floor.

I would not be concerned with 3k under power. Find it hard to believe a 24' would make it work to 3k. There does not seem to be much point to manually hold it there as the torque is made much lower.
The motor will defuel by 4000 to prevent damage under stock operation.

Granted I pull with GM, but my 7200# 24' plus loaded bed never taxed the motor that hard though the Rockies that I remember.
The engine can spin significantly higher, 4800ish while trans braking but the engine is not under the stress of making power at that point.
