So I finally removed all the carpet under my seats and in the ballast compartments next to the engine. I always hated the moisture and how hard it was to clean.

My question is after I scrub down the fiberglass what do you all recommend to paint the rough fiberglass with?

I was going to paint either a bright white or medium gray. Hopefully use some paint with a little texture.

Thanks for your help.

Get a hold of this guy with this Tristar and see what he painted all those uncarpeted surfaces with.

Two part epoxy paint would probably work well. This is often sold as garage floor paint. Be sure there is no hint of grease where you are painting so you don't get bubbles. POR 15 would be another good choice. Don't worry that it is a rust preventative, it will adhere very well to fiberglass. What your are looking for is something durable and impregnable to grease and water.

How about rhino liner or plastidip? I'm thinking of rhino liner for some areas that should never of had carpet in the first place on my 209.

Ya I am excited. The carpet under the seats and under observer seat is so stupid. All it does is collect moisture. Not good for the 4 amps and sub in the boat...
