I had a battery and an ignition key problem. replaced the key switch and battery and rotor cap and coil. Cap was shot. now I have no spark. fuel is ejecting into carb.
I checked voltage at the coil (pink wire 12.5 volts)
looked up 5.7l chevy engine it talks about a crank sensor - I can't find the sensor

Check on bottom of block right next to gear. Mine, a v drive, was on starboard side. Mine were black in color so they blend in making them hard to see.

What kind of shark? The tigers are know to cause starting problems. :-)
Seriously, if you made those cap, ignition switch changes and all of the sudden now you don't have spark, I would suggest double-checking the work done on those items. Sure, something else could have gone bad, which would be a coincidence, but first double-check the work originally performed.
