I would like to touch up with paints some spots of my engine. Do you know where I could find the color spray in the original color..(electric blue)? Is it a high temp paint?

That valve covers are blue. Damien, you might also consider going with chrome (or maybe they were just sandblasted). I can't remember exactly who did it, but it looked really nice.

thanks guys. I have already the valve covers in chrome with red stickers Indmar on each one. Also, it looks like all the engine (valve covers+block+exhaust/riser) is in blue. Don't know if it was something special for the 25th MC anniversary...?

Unless it's a 190 Limited (and with a Ford, it's not a Limited (all LT-1s), I don't believe your engine differs from any of the other engines offered OEM. All 93 Prostars are technically "25th Anniversary Boats." "Stars and Stripes" was an option (and oh what an option), but you had your choice of engines. Most tend to be the 285 hp 351 HO from what I've seen, although I've seen a couple that optioned the LT-1. They made 25 Silver metal flake boats called 190 Limited that were outfitted with fuel injected 310 hp Chevy LT-1s standard.

So unless I'm mistaken, the only color under the box was blue on the valve cover. Everything else was black (except the carb and the fuel feed line, flame arrestor, and the pullies).

I've seen some chromed valve covers and they look really slick. If it were me, I'd keep those.

This is what mine looks like and it's original...

Nothing special on 25th aniversary. 285 HO had ford blue valve covers, all chrome pullys and glossey black finish. I was a multi-layer paint coating not thin like engines now.

ok... thanks. maybe the previous owner had it repainted in a different color. EastTX, you are right the chrome valve covers are sweet. I will post a picture once I will have the engine all nice. Probably later during this winter.
