Yesterday I went to three stores (Wal-mart, Advanced, and Auto Zone) looking for Mobil 1 15W-50 to get ready for my winterization oil change, and to my suprise none of the stores had it. They all Mobil 15W-50 "Extended Performance" but none of them had the regular Mobil 1 15/50.

I looked on Mobil 1's websight and it is not on there either. Did they stop making it? Should I use the new 15w50 extendend performance?
The extended stuff is a fully synthetic also so I assume it is a replacement for the original.

Thoughts??????????

Really just responding to give your post a bump as I don't have an answer to your specific question.

If you're not sold on Mobil 1, in the marine section of WalMart, there should be some Pennzoil 15W40 marine, which is what Indmar currently recommends for the 351.

Mobil 1 of any kind wouldn't be suitable for use in Indmar's current engines, but it might be OK in earlier engines. You'd have to look at your owner's manual and find out the oil service classification recommended for your specific engine.

Mobil 1 EP meets API service classification SM, or SH/CF. If your engine calls for anything earlier than that, you'd be OK.
