I am getting ready to purchase a new boat. Does any body have a 2005 price list. I am looking to get a X9. I would like to know what the boat really cost without dealer markup.

X9 MSRP ?
Any help would be great....thanks

At 48 000 $ + options + taxes ,i wouldn't say your husband is right...But... :D
Seriously, that's a lot of money,Glad for you that you can afford such a nice boat.Must be a good feeling to order exactly the kind of boat you want!
What options are you looking for? You mentionned a bigger engine, are you thinking of the 350 MCX or the 6.0 ? I read that the 6.0 is a 7000 $ plus option.

350 MCX
perfect pass
depth finder
tower lights
bow cover
bimini top
heater

and that doesn't cover the stereo....like my husband says I am nuts, so you can see why I am looking for a price list.

$48,195 is base boat no options 2005 MSRP. That is not "cost before dealer mark-up".

where do you guys get this information? I have looked every where and still couldn't find accurate numbers.

I know where MYMC got his info. :)
I don't know about anyone else... You could probably get it from your local dealer, as long as you have a good realtionship with them.

I do, but I will be buying one from them and need some ammo. I want to make sure the pricing begins at MSRP, not above. I am in the car business and I guess I don't trust anyone when it comes to pricing.

Now I know who to contact when I am in the market for a car! :)
What do you do in the car business, if you don't mind me asking?

My family has been in the business for years. My dad currently has a ford store in Houston. I am currently a stay at home mom but I used to be a manager. I do know some people if anyone needs a car. :steering:

How about that. I'm a native Houstonian. Just moved eastward about 3 years ago.

As I try to stop my head from spinning over the $710 bimini top and $1,910 PP Digital Pro, I must ask, what is a bow thruster?

André
09-08-2004, 05:18 PM
Some kind of turbine trough the bow hull that will help you dock you new 103000 $ x80,pushing the bow toward or away from the dock.

East Tx,

The 280's have an optional bow thruster, much like larger cruisers. Located in the bow it helps either push or pull the bow of the boat.
Need one for your 205? :D

Ah, I see. I'll pass on that one.

Still trying to figure out the price difference on the Perfect Pass when you can buy one from perfect pass that says MasterCraft on it (and you don't even need the paddlewheel). That's a heck of a markup. Gotta make that $$.

That being said, I know that that's just the MSRP, and it's good to be able to have access to such a list. Just sort of takes my breath away. :o

PLEASE understand that these posted prices are MSRP, and may or may not be representative of what you may or may not pay when purchasing.
These are the ONLY amounts that I am permitted to quote or publish. There seems to be a lot of question regarding MSRP pricing of some models and options so I did this to try and help.

I don’t know too many people that pay MSRP for anything (cars, houses etc…) these days but it does provide a point of reference to those deciding where to begin negotiations.

MyMC, I had just finished editing my post to note that distinction when I saw your post. Just sticker shock on my part. I know that's all you guys can post. It's been my experience that most MC dealers are eager to work with customers like me, who are shameless when it comes to asking for rock-bottom prices. 8p

Looking at those prices I can say that based on my last 2 boats, look for a 20-40% discount based on options I purchases in 03..I paid $1100 for PP option, $1500 on MCX upgrade, $460 on Bimini, CD Player $200, Boat cover with bow cover, $400's. This is from memory, hope it helps with that MSRP SHOCK.

Indeed, it does. Soon, I'll have the nerve to look at the MSRP for the boats themselves.

Bow thruster would be a neat option on a single engine.. Should be uneccesary on the twin engine..

What I/O brand offered a bow thruster ( or maybe still does) as an option a few years ago?? I remember seeing it at the Portland OR. boat show some years ago.. You used it with a joystick.. Talk about a perfect female boat......

What exactly is included in the Euro Package? Everywhere I look it says "ask dealer" (but that would be too easy). It sounds like the price should fluctuate based upon the exchange rate. :uglyhamme

Might be some sort of natural gas conversion for the engine, I think.

Man, those MSRP's are nuts! About as close to reality as the MSRP's on the jewellry in Mexico (no offense MyMC -- I know you don't make them up)..

my dealer gets pretty close to sticker. He will turn away business if they son't want to pay because he will sell the boat to someone else. I am hoping for a discount because my family has been buying boats form him for years. Plus this will be my second boat in a year.

thanks for the info....great starting tool.

Understandable. Everybody should be happy with the deal. Hope you walk away with a good one. But I should point out that nobody who has ever told me "no" ever sold me anything. :)

Hey MYMC,

Does your pricing manuel have mastercraft my design prices? I would like to add a stainless rub rail and some other chrome options. I was told that the dealers don't have any information on the 05 accessories due to some changes. I would love to see them.

You are correct.

As for the MC by design stuff, I think there's a link with prices at www.mymastercraft.com
