I have a 06 x-30 that has the fiberglass platform. The ones that leave a black residue all over the seats. I had heard of the teak inlays but never seen them except on the x-80. This photo is from a 35th anniv. 190. Does anyone know of a kit or a part from MC.
Thanks

Or you can find something else to make an inlay with.

I think that's for the whole platform.

My approach would be to strip the rubber off my fiberglass deck and replace it with Flexiteek (http://www.flexiteek.no/) strips. They would be cut, glued, and caulked (black or white caulking) and look just like the picture above. Since the stuff is a composite, it won't shrink or weather like real teak. It ought to be relatively easy to work with. Seems to me the stuff cost something like $40 per square foot for the raw materials. I'm sure that's more than the Gator Grip, but I do like the look of the teak inlay better YMMV.

I agree, as cool as it looks it is not worth that ... think of it this way appx 20 swim platforms = 1 new 197? I thought it was teak, not gold!

Slightly overpriced, there has to be a astronomical mark up on that....I wonder what the actual build cost is...
