Okay, my next thing is to replace plugs and wires since I am not sure when they were done last. I looked up the plug wires on skidim and they were over $100. Any good sources on wires where I might save some money. I am not getting a lot to come up with my searches so far.

MSD, Taylor and many others offer universal plug wire kits. These will have a connector installed on one end of the wire and you will need to measure the length of wire, cut and crimp the other end yourself. The Taylor's look to be in the $60 range on summit and the MSD's are a little more at $80+. So, $100 for ones that are prebuilt and go right on vs. whatever your time is worth to finish making the universal kits. You could always check your current wires with a multimeter or someone else may have a direct fit part number for some that are less expensive.

Thanks. I will probably pay the money, since doing things like that always take me more time than I think. But I appreciate the feedback. I really don't know them to be bad, just have no idea when they were last replaced and my boat is a 95.

I agree. But if the wife asks it was only about $30. :)
