Do you have the tow package? Gas mileage is pretty bad on mine. It pulls my boat no problem, but I get 9 or so mpg towing. Congrats on the new boat. I pulled my 600 miles back when I bought it a couple of years ago.

Talk about long in the tooth. Nissan has let the Titan rot on the vine. Always have had great power but the absolute worst gas mileage in the full sized market. Add to that an engine, interior and exterior design from the last millennium, literally. The truck was introduced in 2003 but has had no significant redesign since. There are rumors Nisssan is going to redesign and resurrect the Titan but no firm evidence yet.

I also tow with a Titan. The gas mileage is anything but "great". Although, it's terrible when it's not even loaded, so I guess a 3mpg drop isn't too horrible.

To me i dont get worried about gas mileage It all sucks to begin with if your getting less than 18mpg any ways. but when titan isnt loaded and regular driving i can milk 16-17 on a good tank and get 365 miles to 22 gallons. I have had a V8 truck for the last 20 years so im used to the sucky mileage its just something you get used to.

love my 2011. Before that had only GM (4 of them traded every 18 months). Had major issues with a 2010 Silverado 6.2 and traded on the titan. 100,000 miles and no issues. Gonna wait for the new model and get it.

FYI Nissan has confirmed all new titan for 2015 with 5.0L cummins engine as an option. Rumour has it around 300hp and 460 touque. I do however have my doubts about the cummins motor as Dodge must have some kind of exclusivity agreement.

The titan diesel was scheduled back in 2008 and chrysler was to build the titan including a 2500 model, but bankruptcy from chrysler and the bailouts killed that idea. Pretty sure any naming rights will benefit all btw dodge will put a v6 diesel in their 1500 ram in the near future thats from VM Motori which is owned by GM and Fiat. Cross breeding by auto manufacturers is nothing new.

is also the worst selling pickup on the market. pretty sure nissan sold as many trucks in 2012 as ford did in december 2012

use to own a titan... overall loved the truck and as stated gas mileage sucks when towing and just forget about if you need any warranty work done at all. Corporate will tell you oh we'll fix it as a courtesy repair just to make you happy and try to make you the scapegoat for the issue. Will NEVER buy a Nissan product again.

Love my Pro-4x. Out pulls my GM's I had before. Sharp truck too, I like the look. As far a gas mileage, yeah, it likes fuel... But so does my XStar, and I don't complain about a day at the lake costing over $120 CAD. All half ton trucks burn fuel while towing near max capacity, who cares?
