do the mastercraft rudders come with different keyway positions. Could it be possible that a rudder replaced on a 2011 X2 , could have been replaced with a newer rudder that suits that boat , but has the keyway in a different position than the old one , so the steering is not centred as it was before.
cheers

No

Doubtfull

Is your steering wheel not centered?

It can be centered by removing the four bolts on the rack under the dash, lowering it away from the gear and positioning the wheel where you want it, then reinstall the bolts.

the steering wheel is centred , but the rudder turns approx 45 degrees one way and 22 the other . was told it might be a different keyway or pitman arm may be upside down.

The tiller arm(pitman) is "should" be keyed to the rudder.

Stranger that you do not have the same travel from lock to lock. The end of the steering cable should have some adjustment room in it. It should have a threaded end that you could be able to use to correct some off that travel. Well, at least mine did.

this is hydraulic steering (is yours) , not sure if there is any adjustment there.

Nope, sorry, I don't know anything about the hydro steering that MC put in the boat.
