Thought I had an issue with strut bearings, but just found out that I have bent all of the above. Is there a good source for these things from somewhere other than a dealer? I don't have an estimate yet, but they suggested I check my insurance to see what it would cover.

What say you people?

I have a perfectly good one that came off of my PS197 when I upgraded to the 'bullet' strut. If it will fit, and you are interested, PM me and we can work out a price. I am sure I don't want much $ for it, but shipping is going to be pricey as it is heavy.

Thanks I will keep that in mind.

PS, did the bullet strut help? This is what I was looking at moving towards.

It did help, but only a little. Not sure of how noticeable it would be on a wake boat or not. For my 197, it just softened up the wake a touch and that is about it.

It looks like yours should fit. New they are about 350. What are you thinking you would want for it?

PM sent your way. I just realized that my prop shaft is 1.125" (Powerslot trans). Not sure if your is 1" or 1.125". Also, it may be the same strut for both and use a different size bearing in it depending on shaft diameter.

I am 1.125 so same size.

That is some bad looking poo poo. Sorry for your loss and hope insurance covers some of the cost.

Got the new prop here about 24 hours after hanging up the phone with Eric @ OJ. Now that is some service!

Went from a 14x20 to a 14.75x15.5. Excited to see the difference.

Got a used strut coming in from ncsone (thanks!). No luck on finding a prop shaft for it yet.

ought to be better than new. Now I am trying to decide on a dripless shaft seal.

Call Elberts, he'll get you a shaft without giving you the shaft. As far as dripless systems call Eric back.

Thanks brother!! That is from a while back, on my 92. I got all the parts and a new dripless system for less then a grand.

It was a great lesson learned. After having the boat for a few years and it having a bad transducer I learned that spending the $100 bucks on a new depth sounder system could have saved me a grand. Never again!!

I looked at their website, but it looked like I needed all kind of measurements. The boat isn't in front of me at the moment

I got it back from the dealership today. It is spinning smooth with 1 finger. I can't wait to see the difference between the 14x20 and the new 14.75x15.5.

Now to get my baby ready for the water. And yes, I mean baby, not the boat. I became a dad on Monday!

Well i went with the 14.5*15.75 prop. One trip and pulled it off. The boat topped out at 34 mph. It would be awesome for boarding and surfig, but i still gotta ski. Back to stock 14*20 for now.
