Worked well with Too_tall's X2...

Worked great for us!! A little additional ballast and we were off....

What speed is best I ran about 10.5 today just trying to get the kinks worked out on my boat def a big difference going from a friends G23 with the surf system to the X2

A lot of weight and a slower speed. Not that 10.5 is slow but maybe slow it down.
I've surfed the 205V before and its not too impressive. But you can definitely surf with only stock ballast just don't expect it to look like an X30 wave.

I gotcha I will play with it more today and add a fat sack

I run a 400 back locker.350 in the center.2-3 people on port side...Wake is good very surfable, but the sweet spot is small.More people the better.
This is a whole different beast....
400 back compartment. 350 in locker.4-6 people on starboard side(minimum) one person standing on gunnel behind driver holding onto tower.
I've found this hull when surfing likes a lot of weight in the rear corners.
The starboard side is a bit@h to get clean. it can be done.

Yeah I agree about the starboard side bc that's the side I ride on my luck huh. I'm gonna play with it some more today and see what I can. I noticed yesterday that how I had it set up I had very little room to work with trying to find that sweet spot & when I did find it and wasn't careful I would was out quick

9mph cleaned it up fairly nice

You need more weight

Gonna put another 300lb sac in the back hatch next weekend that should take the wash out I think

Im able to surf in my '08 x2 with just the surfer and a driver. Starboard side. I put 750 in the back starboard locker. Another 750 on the floor pushed to starboard as much as possible. All the stock ballast tanks full. roughly 2050 lb of ballast. 9.2 - 9.6 mph. Surfs very easily. not a very long wake though.

I surfed my 2000 205V with 2 750's on the surf side and it was bigger than my 15 was. just not as long. 2 400s even would work nicely

400# in port locker, 350# fat sac in portside seat, 125# lead in port cooler, KGB full and port ballast full with 125# daughter in bow. Wife surfs all day with this and a blue lake board.

Surf all day long in a stock 2007 X2. Added 455 lbs bag in surf side locker to improve wake. There are better/bigger wakes out there, but this is very surfable..........
