I've been searching for a while for the P/N for the air filter for my 2006 X2 w/ the MCX. The boat is in storage or I would have gone and pulled the air filter to see number myself..

Search of the board and google has resulted in nothing! Any help would be great!

Thanks in advance!

You know you can just clean and reoil the filter if it is the factory K&N. There is no need to replace it unless it's damaged.

But, sorry I do not know the part number.

For my 2005 Maristar 210VRS with MCX, I got this response from Indmar.

The Indmar part number for that flame arrestor that K&N makes for us is S525023. You will need to get a replacement from a MasterCraft or Indmar dealer.

Now the bad news, Mastercraft wants something like $160 for that stupid filter. Now if you go to the K&N web site and know the dimensions, you cross reference the filter to a part number you can order from Autozone for around $60.

I just cleaned mine, and didn't figure out the part number.

Awesome! Thanks for the info.. I was considering just cleaning mine, but for whatever reason, the filter looks like it has been squished down and is bent a little.. Kinda like it was sucked in and collapsed into itself.

It'd be hard to believe that the motor is sucking that much air, but it seems to look as if it has been.

I'm assuming this is it.. ?

But ZERO details on the dimensions.. No reason for this to be $136

Yes, that does look to be the one.

I believe this standard K&N filter is the closest match. It matches all the dimensions really close. The only thing that I forgot to measure on mine was the vent hose diameter. The one in the link has a 5/8" diameter vent hose fitting.

Yea, the vent hose on my is 5/8", so the 59-5010 is definitely the right one. $75 at Jeg's, Inboardonline wants $154.

Desquish it, clean it, oil it. As long as the filter material isn't falling out, it ought to be fine.

Definitely, you can clean and re-oil the K&Ns forever. Like SilentXNoise mentioned about his, mine is all bent and pretty ugly looking. I just got my boat a few weeks ago. The previous owner must have really mashed it on there by pushing on the front. Every pleat looks like a Z. That is the only reason I was looking at replacing mine.
