Did you notice the skid marks are only about a foot long there? Truck must have been stopped on the shoulder and the corvette was running high speed.

I drove by a similiar accident about a month ago. Only it was an s10 pickup slammed into the back of the trailer. I figure they were doing 80 when they hit the parked Tractor trailer. The rear axle of the traler was significantly bent. Enough so - that they had to remove the rear tires to move the trailer. Obviously nobody in the pickup lived.

I would think those skid marks are from when the car was crushed around the wheel preventing it from rolling. Vetts have antilock brakes and should not leave a skid mark from hard braking, so it is tough to say wheter the driver hit the brakes or not. Poor soul

Carefull with that link, they are all pretty funny except for when I clicked on it and it had Terry Schiavo on it ... the other ones are funny (the ones I have seen) just not the one with her.

from what I gather, when you post the link as a link, it compounds it, then when you click on it, the website can't find the actual pic....
