I was wondering if anyone went to New Hogan Reservoir, Lake Comanche, or Folsom Lake here in CA? I recently moved to Elk Grove and was wondering what lakes in the greater Sacramento area some of the TMC guys went to. I was also wondering what your experiences have been at these lakes in regards to boat ramp, launching and parking fees, jet skiers, overcrowded lakes, etc.

I have been to Lake Tulloch. Small but nice. Homes around the lake. Gets crowded on weekends but good during the week. Have also been to New Melones which is the lake that feeds Tulloch. Big, clean, nothing along the shore. Have also been to Don Pedro. Bigger than New Melones. Many coves and arms to explore. Have heard that Bullards Bar is a cool lake. Very pretty water, but cold as it is direct snow melt. We don't go to the lakes any more since we got a place on the dirty delta.
