View Full Version : Finally Finished Polishing and Waxing
05-15-2013, 12:55 AM
Finally got the boat all polished and waxed. It took quite awhile as I did 4 steps on the whole boat. I have an 08 X-15 and although it wasn't super terrible, it was kept up with as much I would have before I got it last summer so I did the complete job to it.
I used Performance Boat Candy Extreme Cut Compound, Compound, Polish and Wax. All with a Porter Cable orbital polisher.
Tim @ Performance Boat Candy was a huge help along the way answering any questions I had (and I had a lot) and sending me some testers
Here are a couple pics taken with my phone. The top 2 are the finished product, the bottom one is before the process
I still have to put the decals on this weekend and I will add the pictures when I have them on.

Thanks guys! Yes I know I have to do the fenders but after 15 hours last weekend I was spent. I can't wait to get it on the water, ice was still on the lake last weekend but should be off this weekend so it will be in the water if there's no ice.
Thanks @brooksfamX2 I seen your boat on here before and love it. The old lady doesn't like it bare so Im gonna try a couple things. A black MC shield on the back where its red and the shield will be black and then Chrome MasterCraft lettering on the black. Hopefully it looks good

Here's a quick pic of the boat with the decals, I have to redo that one, you can't tell but it ripped on the one part... So I may get a pro to do it so I don't wreck it again but that is what she will look like!

Great job on all your had work. Just my preference but think it might have looked better for the MC shield to have been smaller. But overall, very nice job.
