I just bought a set of NOS SilentMaster mufflers off E bay and need to double check a few things.

The pictures I have seen have these installed horizontally on the floor below the back deck. Is this the correct location and orientation?

There is no fiberglass in the tube, it is just empty with a baffle on the end without the angle. Should I put any glass in it?

Finally, it seems like if water went into the exhaust, some would get trapped inside the muffler because of the baffle and because the mid section of the mufler is larger in diameter. Will this just clear itself with the exhaust?

yup those are what mine look like... there's no glass on the tips of mine either... most of the water clears with the exhaust and when you are towing... most of the water drains when you pull the boat out of water...

and ooo nice and shiny... ;)

You are correct, that's exactly what they are supposed to look like.
If you look down the page a little, I have pictures of mine being re-glassed and then re-installed under the floor board. hard to believe they work, when they are so empty???
