Hey everyone,

Once again, I'm a little new to the MC world again and I've been shopping like crazy to find one. I want to get some idea of what this boat would be worth:

2004 X-2
310 hrs on MXC 350
Looks super clean, only small crack at the rear of engine bay deck pad
New impeller
Solid black hull seems to look perfect and shiny
Ballast system w/ bags, not hard tanks,
Tower w/ clarion sound system
Bimini and cover

Just from that quick description, what would be a good price for it? NADA is stating $30k avg retail.

Thanks!

38k is high in my opinion. If everything were perfect I'd say low 30s (nada is not a good price reference imo). The 205v (old xstar, older x2, X1) prices are variable so it is hard to justify this much when you can get newer x1s for a similar or lower price.

looks like a nice boat. i'd say something in the neighborhood of 33 would be a fair price

I bought a 03 X2 2 years ago for 25K - BUT, I really think I stole it. Had 300 hours. I wouldn't sell it for less than 32K.

Somewhere between $30k and $35k depending on how motivated the seller is

$38K is way out of the ball park, especially for the hours. There was a Cherry navy blue 2007 X1 on here for sale recently with 60 hours for $38k. Just sayin....it is a sellers time of year though

Ok thanks for the input.. I think the thing was waaay over priced. I hate low-balling people but I felt I've seen bigger/better boats selling for $38k easily..

Is there any other source (other than NADA) to price boats? Or do people pull prices out of the air (aka loan pay off :))

I think that boat belongs to a member here on TT and before him it was mine

The boat looks beautiful and fits what I've been looking for... Price is just out of budget (aka, wife) :)

I paid $32K for a 03 X2 in 2009 with 150 hours on it but it didn't have a ballast system or PP. I'm thinking very low 30s or start looking for newer X2. You should be able to find one of those right around $40K. At $38K I'd be moving up the product line.

I'd verify the 310 hrs before pulling the trigger

I was a boat mechanic for years, and you can't always trust the gauge. Hook up a laptop to it to get the true number. (not saying he's lying, but i've checked out boats for guys before and the hours were different on the gauge than the computer)

They normally do this if you have the M/C dealer do a owner transfer inspection. Good investment as they look over all items on the boat to determine if any issues or items a new owner should be aware of. This includes verifying the ECM matches the hr guage on the tach. Did this with my purchase and was well worth the investment for the piece of mind. In the case the seller is asking top dollar, I'd expect the seller to pay to correct anything of concern as part of the purchase price.

I don't know if it's the same boat, but it looks about the same.

Wow... It does look exactly like that boat being for sell in 2010.. The seller stated he has only had the boat for a year, so I'm not sure if he was the the one who got scammed (if this truly is the same boat) or he is the one doing the scamming..

Here's the pic he sent me yesterday..

AND I noticed SNORK posting on that same thread as well.. Weird.

Well, after looking over a couple pictures (because it was driving me crazy), I found a couple differences in the boats.. Main one I noticed was the grey trim around the rub rail on the CURRENT boat for sale..

First pic is old boat, 2nd boat is the current one listed:
