I had no idea that MC ever made a cuddy until this post.

Lol, there's been several post about gem in the last six months. Lol go to my home page as I have pics posted of the cuddy. Toilet and all. This listing don't show any pics inside the cuddy as I'm sure it's trashed.

Yes, the SC stands for Super Cuddy. I THINK they were made from '90 to '94 but I'm not for sure on those dates. From what I seen the '90 models had the 351s and then they went to the 454s.

These are great boats when you have young'ns as they can sack out in he cuddy out of he sun when they have had enough. The Maristar 240 came in two models in those few years, an open bow and SC. I wish I knew more but that's about it and most isn't facts. Sorry. :-)

This boat's gel appears to have good shine. MasterCraft decals are not factory and look odd IMO.
Bottom paint and anode on rudder could hint at time sitting in water or worse salt water.
Interesting fiberglass swim platform.

Interior has been redone but looks decent. Typical motor box cup holder/breather busted up.
Cuddy is usually not too rough unless the hatch was allowed to leak over a period of time which can allow mildew.
Good thing is, this boat was one of the first to have a full fiberglass stringer layup so NO stringer rot!
I am not sure on the floor however. Mine seems to have a plastic sheet under the carpet but around the small floor locker seems to be slowly deteriorating which might be ply underneath?

240SC was the "Sport Cabin"

The manual is available in the MasterCraft "knowledge center" http://www.mastercraft.com/knowledge/owners_manuals/

When I was looking for mine and I talked to the factory, memory has the number 550 units between 1990-1993. I don't know if that was total 240 mfg or specifically 240sc. MC was cranking out way more units then than today but it was a very large, premium boat, much like the 28' today.
You can tell early 1990 design because it has the old square corner motor box instead of the round. I have also seen some listed as 1994 but don't know if those were a few hold over molds or what????

Attached is a scan of an old school fax sent to me by MC 9 years ago of Water Ski Magazine's 1991 Buyers guide.
It got low "props" for ski wake but Trick ski "hot dogging" received high props - hmmm wakeboard anyone? :)
