ok, so I want to be able to fly a flag on my MC while underway. I do not want to drill a flag holder onto the boat. I was thinking about getting a piece of PVC and sliding it over the rear pole and then attach that falg to that...........

anyone have any ideas?

I guess you don't have a tower?

I just zip tie one to my bimini. Works well for me.

I did drill a hole; however Taylor made makes a nice removable flagpole. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/05/04/utape7u5.jpg

i have a 210 VRS (2000) with a tower but i have the pole in the back. i wouldn't have it on when pulling from the tower but it would be nice while under way to fly a flag. the zip tie feature just doesn't work well for me.

Some atv stores like superatv sell whip flag holders that might fit your tower.

For a small/medium flag you could use something like - http://www.h2osportswarehouse.com/PhotoGallery.asp?ProductCode=BT-FLAGHLD225-PA

The one I have I got from my local shop.

I use my light pole but I don't use it underway. Only cruising.

Heres the one I fly....

when i was little and was first learning to wakeboard, my dad flew one like that off our 205V's tower to "scare off the jet skiers" because i was always worried about getting hit! great flag!

Here's some from Overton's.

I'd put them on my light pole which has a mount on most boats.

Here's another way:

I also have a custom teak flag pole made at Chris Craft that fits in the stern light hole. I snagged bc it was getting thrown out and at the time I did not have a boat but knew I would get one at some point. I still have not tried it out, but I imagine it will work just fine. I should be able to leave it up when towing from the tower, but would have to remove it when towing from the ski pole. I guess part of what your needs are, depends on the size flag you want to fly.
