I looked last year but wasn't able to find the right but so I am trying again! I'm looking to buy a Prostar 197 - 2004 or newer with a budget of about $25K. I need to get on the water more this year so I am hoping to find something asap! I am open to other boats and willing to drive for the right boat so any help is greatly appreciated.

While I do not know of any for sale in my area for sure, you may want to pm snopromod on this site to see what he is selling his 2006 197 for. It may be out of your price range but it is a great looking boat.
For what it is worth, you should be able to find a nice used 197 in your price range especially if you extend back to a 2003 as there really are no changes to the hull.

There is an '04 Prostar 190 TT for sale here in NJ, well under $25K. PM me if you're interested.

It's a little more expensive, but looks nice with low hours.

We just took in a 2004 197 that is getting the used boat inspection done on it this coming week that, as long as the inspection is good, will be listed for $29,000, but will pre sell for $28,000. Extra clean with only 150hrs. email me at jasong@redlinewatersports.com and I can send you pictures.

Forget that, he's local. Just stop in at Redline, they'll treat you right. If you're like me you might want to leave your wallet home to resist temptation, their pro-shop is killer!

Wisco, what lake are you usually on? Using this for skiing, or everything? I'm an 85 S&S, and the lakes here can become more than I want to go in, especially Mendota. Something like a 205 or 208 might take the water a little better if you're willing to make a little trade off. The bigger thing is that it would give you more options as you search.
