I recently bought an x45. Is it surfable stock? If not what sacs should I buy first and how big? I am 6ft 200 lbs. My wife will be pissed if i go spend a bunch of money on surf sacs so I'd like to buy maybe 1 now and 1 or 2 later so its less noticeable. I would be surfing port side so port tank full and the KGB full.

wakemakers.com

I have surfed behind a stock x45. It can be done. More ballast will help though................

This will fit in the rear port locker without any problems?

That's the same ones I'm getting for my 30 so you should be fine.

I read putting one near the front will make a long "pocket" ? Is that correct? What size and where in the front would be best? I would like to just have 2 bags and have a decent wake for the year.

Yes, throw maybe another 300 up front and you are set.

I am getting ready to pull the trigger on some bags for my 2005 x45. The guys at wakemakers are telling me to use these bags.

Wakemakers is absolutely correct. The FH 1100 will fit in the rear locker. And I recommend filling a bag in the board locker when surfing port side. A FH 400 will fit there. Move all your body ballast to the surf side.

not to thread jack, but nick, have you considered the 1100# bag for your lockers. i have the 750's and i'm hoping to switch to the 1100's this year on my 02 x30.

If you don't want/ need both of the bow seat ones I'd be willing to split the cost of them with you for one of them. I'm going to order the 1100lb one next week. All of us will be riding port side so I wouldn't need to order 2.

Hmm, will it fit with the factory tank still in place?

Congratulations on being part of the long line of MC men trying to hide additional boat expense from their wives. It's just the way you have to do it.

Somehow I have toget 2 subs installed without her knowing, she hasn't heard the speakers yet so once they are hooked up ill just be like. "Oh those were already there."

The group that goes out with us rides both, so I will probably need both. Thanks for the offer though. Wakemakers is telling me to fill both front and then switch rear bags depending on which side we want to ride.

Sometimes you can get the upgrades to be their idea without them realizing it. When mine saw the new X30 interior at a boat show and we were surrounded by $100k+ boats, she thought that $3k was nothing and we should redo the interior. Victory for me. Also walked by a boat wrap guys booth and she suggested a wrap also. Guess where the boat will be tomorrow?...

Luckily mine already wants the wrap but were waiting till next year to do that.

We spent a lot of money this last month for the boat. She just doesn't want me going out blowing another 3Gs on fat sacs and speakers when we could probably manage with it the way It is for a year.

Getting married was the best thing that's ever happened to me. I'm just stoked she Wanted to get wakeboard boat. Our old boat was a sea ray br 20ft. I figured she was wanting a baja. I did have my eye on a nice 30outlaw.

Did you integrate into your system or use pumps over the side

GoinBoatin
04-18-2013, 06:33 PM
Pumps over the side, I figure this way I can move things around if needed and it would be faster to fill the additional one with the extra pump. It doesn't bother me to have to do it by hand.

Edit: just realized you weren't talking to me, haha
