We have a new boat this year, to try and get a bit more of a balance between a ski wake and wakeboard wake. It's a 2001 closed bow X5. What is the best set up for loading it up to create the best wakeboard wake it will kick out? Anyone got wake pics also?

I just got a 2000 X5 open bow. Hoping someone will reply to your post. I'm wondering the same thing.

Closed bows are more difficult to weight properly because IMO you still need weight in the front of the boat. We used 2 225LB sacs as far forward along the engine box as we could get them along with a 600lb where the rear seat goes or just in fron of the rear seat. Also would try to have at least two people in the observers seat. Always wanted to put like 200lbs way forward in the nose but never did I think it would have helped the wake considerably. If you decide to put weight in the front watch out for rollers cause they will be over the bow before you know it.
It made the wake respectable with just the 225's and I have read that later model 190's/195's, X5's etc. had a better hull for wake than my '87. We also need pics of your boat ASAP!

Id do a fat seat in the back, and side sacs on each side of the motor box as far as possible forward as LS said^ that should be plenty!
