A buddy up in KY, has a neighbor wanting to unload a XStar.

520 Hours, Interior has normal cracking in all seats in the White, basically this year or next needs interior. Service records show normal oil, and tranny flush, and Impellor change along with a few misc things small not working. ie Switch for Lights etc. Original Owner.

Black in Color

MCX Motor

Factory MC Trailer, Dual Axle

4 Factor Tower Speakers
Tower Lights
Perfect pass
Tower Mirror
Depth Finder
Two 10" JL Subs
Factory Clarion Radio

I have searched Boattrader, and Onlyinboards... and the market has yet to flood with inventory for the season but it appears from 42-49K.

Whats the MC World see the market value is??

I would consider those average hours for a 2005 boat, and cracking interior is normal for an '05 X-star (mine did the same thing and I baby it....bad vinyl that year)
$40K would be a great deal on that boat....I would think closer to $45-48K is right.

You'll be 42-43k with those hours

Sorry updated it is MCX.. anything besides alternator bracket issues I should look for.
Also no dealer involved.. just a buddies neighbor on lake wants to move his this year.

Viper is about 4-5k for complete interior.

Anymore thoughts?

ya 42 would be a great number I paid 44 for mine 2 years ago. but it had the 8.1 and a few less hours.

I just paid 48K for a 2006 X Star in very good to excellent condition. Custom metalflake gelcoat. Plumbed in extra ballast. Upgraded stereo. MCX engine with 375 hours. This is in northern California where everything is more expensive. I would say low 40s.

Well here it is at home and a few other pics. Its got heavy oxidation on the rear, to the point of some spider cracking... but isnt a true gel coat hull spider crack. I figure with a full weekend of love I will get it up to speed.

Project- Buff Hull, Redo Teak (I want to see if I can get a black tint to the stain), then power detail the inside. Eventually look at reworking the interior where the white has all cracked.

Secondly I think the previous owner fudged the measuresments on will it fit in a 9ft Garage opening.. its a fight to get my old X10 in it.. I literally had 3" on each side, and the rub rails I had to loosen so they would bend in as I backed it into the whole.

Anyone want to give pointers... I read alot last night on bringing back the hull and I have all the 3M Products for 3 Steps. I am just wondering on the whole Wool Buff deal.

Plus anyone darkened their teak, to the point of Black?

If you wash the teak with teak cleaner and then oil it will get darker. Your pictures look pretty sun bleached.

Inside pics... I am looking at ordering the material myself, and my family sews and builds furniture for a living, so may see if they can repair it. If it looks like crap, in the off season take it to Viper...

Looking at changing the white damage areas, to a white Basket Look, or Carbon Fiber...like all the new MC's

Ouch, that interior sure took a beating. That thing would look like a totally different boat with the new carbon fiber look material.

Well plus its the years the vinyl didnt hold up past 4-5 years. The L seating obviously needs it now

With the interior in that condition, id say closer to 39 tops. there is an x star in good shape with 300 or so hours at Texas Ski ranch for 44k.

Yep, I have an '02 X30 and know those problems all too well. Viper just did mine.

She is going naked but the new bow XStar logo in the bow area on both sides.

Boat has switches for Heater and Front Shower and Rear Shower. Previous owner never used it so didn't know how it worked. Its got lighting upgrade and fresh speakers all around to thevtinr of 1200 bucks.

So I'm going to explore heater and Showers

Also next to kill switch in front of it... is a hole. About size of a tweeter I looked in and see two wires w a electric twist tie on them.
Seems odd.. what really goes there.. No pic of that yet

I just paid 43k for an 07 that's nearly perfect 200 hrs. I wouldn't pay any higher 37-38 for this boat concidering it needs all new interior and the hours.

Last thought.. just because I have switches fir Showers or Heater does that mean I have it?.
I assume so or they would be blank extra switches

Nateb

No doesn't mean you have them. The switch and all the wiring will be there even if the boat doesn't have them. From the pictures, it doesnt look like it has the heater ports in the cabin.

My '05 had the switches but no heater or shower so I installed them myself. There should be wiring tucked up under the dash for the switches.

Nice find! Good luck with her. Post pics of your rudder, I had to update mine to the larger style for better handling.

Well I got moved, was afraid of that... Local cabinet guy said just get some Black wood stain, then use my normal Teak Sealer and that will do it.

Just not sure with Sun Fading how long that will look good. I usually touch up my deck several times a season due to Wakesurfing.
