Does anyone have anything they recommend putting on small cuts in the vinyl seat cushions to help keep them from getting bigger? I recently bought a boat and found a few with maybe 3/16 inch long cuts in random places. Some sort of clear glue maybe?

I used some vinyl glue like ... http://www.sailrite.com/HH-66-Vinyl-Cement-8oz?gclid=CLTpufXBqLYCFVSVMgodwB4AeQ Put a piece of wax paper over the cut and taped over the wax paper which covered the cut.

I had a tiny one on a side panel top edge from a slalom ski being dropped while taking it out of the rack. I super glued it. It has held for 6 years. Barely noticeable repair.

I have used a product called VLP Repair, a ready to use vinyl repair product. Seems to work great on small cuts or punctures.

This thread is timely- Just noticed this Saturday that a couple of my cushions (the ones that are stepped on the most despite my belly aching prior to anyone getting int he boat) the stitching is starting to pull through- we are talking half a millimeter on each side of the stitch.

The glue would only be filling the gaps and i don't know if it would be worth it- Anybody try this?

My dealership repairs small tears like that for $100 each. Pretty easy and cheap

I have the same problem on 205 - on observer cushion and now starting on driver.. but I can't belly ache - original 95 upholstery. I got a nice towel for that.. :) - I will be doing mine myself.. but going to practice so I can get good at.. :)... rest of cushion still in good shape... not bad considering 18 years old..
