I talked to Ryan at Double up Del Noche and he said it is on again for this year. I believe I shall make it out there for this one.

I am sorry whitedog, I didnt mean to steal any thunder from an actual event. I was just funnin' with "UMP fest". I know I live in the arctic clines of MI, and I should be able to endure skiing in sub zero temps,but a polar bear waterski fest is one of those ideas best left in THEORY than brought to reality. :purplaugh Thats cool that you folks do it for real though! Hats off to you all! that takes some guts to do that, big time!!!! :worthy:

To be frank, since I lost all that weight, I cannot handle the cold anymore. My body spent years being surrounded by and extra 125 lbs of fatty insulation. Well, after I shed all that off, I freeze my arse off easily. Thats why I wear a wetsuit YEAR ROUND baby. If I had enough liquid courage, I would probably ski in January, but not otherwise. I had some buddies that skied on Christmas eve about 10 years ago. One wore a Santa Claus suit over his wetsuit and skied right up to our town beach. THey also skied in January the same year.....

Who knows, maybe I would try it. I wouldnt be wild about taking my MC out in sub zero temps though :eek:

UMP no offence taken. ;) Just wanted to revisit an old thread that I thought you may get a kick out of. This event is a lot of fun and the more that attend the more fun it gets. Dates have not been set yet to my knowldge. When I see Ryan I will ask him.
