Did a search and come up with plenty of answers about spacing and set up but nothing about Bunk Length. And my current trailer has the 4 bunk set up so its not offering much help when trying to figure out a 2 bunk set up.

I am looking to purchase something along these lines: http://www.boathoistdirect.com/index.php?view=detail&product_id=19 and most that would meet the weight requirements have a 10ft bunks which seems short for a 23' foot boat (06 x-30). Is the extra 1300 worth it for 12 ft bunks? And would all 12 feet even be in contact with the hull- It looks close by the eyeball/tape measure check.

Let me ask it this way- those that keep your boats on a lift how many feet of bunk actually touch the hull.

10-11 feet is normal for a 3-4k lift. 12-13 is normal for a 5K lift

If it were me, I would buy a used 5k Shorestation lift with canopy for $4-5k
