I have started the hunt for my next boat: I am looking for a 209/X9/205V or X2 if the price was right.

I would like it to be 2003 or newer, tower is a BIG plus and Perfect pass would be nice.

If I can find one within a few hundred miles and the deal is right, I will buy it and my 94 205 will be on the market.

Anyone know of anything?

About 2,500 for a tower with racks, the perfect pass I can easily install myself but the tower is almost a must.

Are you wanting 03 and up for the mcx option?

Are you wanting 03 and up for the mcx option?

No, any of the motors will work for me. I would love to have the MCX or LTR but the 310 would not be a deal breaker. I do want the hooked hull if at all possible.

Most important is the overall condition and the "deal", color must be white, red, blue or black.

I still want to barefoot sometimes but I find myself wakeboarding and spending family time in a cove more and more. I would also like to be able to surf behind it.

Since you had a 205 and liked it (I assume) I would stick with the 205V hull (and its derivatives -- original Xstar, original X2 or X1.) Better ski wake over 30mph and better boarding wake than than 209.

Fyi...We owned a 2003 built in late August 2002, the boat did not have the hook and had to be done via warranty. No hook and they will porpoise, that being said adding the hook was not a big job for dealer. You could add the ND tower with a friend in a half day, that is what it took to put one on our 205. Good luck with your search.

Hey, if Footin buys his boat, or any different boat, I know of a boat that would be for sale. He owns a 1994 ProStar 205, Black-Blue-Gray, with the Indmar 350 Chevy 275HP shown below.

The interior was re-covered last season same as original with original logo's,
New Polk separate marine speakers (4 M/C cans on tower)
2004 MC trailer bought new in 2009.
Boat is in excellent condition.
X9 Graphics on the sides.

I don't have pictures on my new computer but see this thread, post # 26. The green one.
Probably won't see another boat this color on the lake.

The 209 in OH Is my father in laws. It was kept down at lake Cumberland, that is the reason for so may hours. 1/3 or more of the hours are simply heading to the coves to bored and foot. If you break it down 125 hours a season isn't excessive. To me I would rather buy a boat that was used and well maintained like this one than a low hour boat that was neglected.

Self promotion over back to your normal programming.

Agreed the the one is Ohio is beautiful, but I will not go to a higher hour boat than my 205 at 640 hours and spend alot more money. This does not make sense to me.

I want a 209/X9/X1/X2/205V with less than 500 hours and the budget will depend on condition, hours, location, options...etc. (under 25k would be ideal).

Ahhhh spring is in the air and once again used MasterCraft owners are trying to sell their $30K boats for $40K. God bless them all, especially if they can get it. I keep getting the urge to put my 07 X2 up for $50K to see if anyone bites.

Two things come to mind when I see people listing their boats for way more than what we're used to seeing.....

1.) Everything is worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

2.) After seeing what a new boat is going for these days these higher asking prices may not be that far off for a really well taken care of boat.

Still on the hunt, I have decided I want an X2. I would love an 06 or newer, but my checkbook says an 05.

Footin - We have a 2005 X2 for sale. MCX, 204 hours (I think), red/white. Hopefully California is not to far to travel for the right boat.

Sounds like a possible fit, but CA is a LONG way to go.

There is another 209 that went up in boats for sale yesterday also. No tower but it looks pretty sharp.

Very nice 209! I could not change the title, but I have decided I want an X2.

I should probably start a new thread with a different title.

I have a 2002 X9 Red with new vinyl, amps, speakers, and lights. I just wish that I could find a boat that I liked at least 30% more for only 3X the price.
